My name is Gretta Carr and today I live in Parrottsville with my family. Being born and raised in the mountains of Del Rio, I have learned a special love for our beautiful corner of the world here in Cocke County.
I grew up helping my Mother, Camille Carter, with many community improvement endeavors over the years. As an adult, I served as the Coalition Coordinator for Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention in Cocke County as well as managing the local Newport Farmers Market in its early stages. I currently volunteer as the Youth Project Manager and board member for East Tennessee Artscapes.
I’m very excited to work with Keep Cocke County Beautiful to continue the wonderful work everyone has been doing and to create new partnerships and program opportunities. I will work with Artscapes and local parents to host some fun yet educational events for children and families. I will help our Beautification Committee identify and execute noticeable projects to make a difference in how our town looks to our residents and visitors alike.
I’m very thankful to have the chance to work for Keep Cocke County Beautiful, and look forward to serving the community that I love so proudly!
